Samuel Taylor, a metal contacts and precision pressings specialist, has posted a turnover of £23.8m for the 12 months to 31 May 2019, up from £21.6m, and increase of 10%.

Speaking about the news, the board of Directors said that, "The directors consider the results satisfactory, in the light of the trading climate, which include a number of macroeconomic and political uncertainties. The principal strengths of STL are its technology, agility coupled with an entrepreneurial spirit and independence allowing for a finance strategy of long termism. We consider the group to be in a strong financial position at the year end and well placed in their markets to develop the group further."

Its pre-tax profits also increased from £1.2m to £2.2m.
